Yes I am actually sore from the Shred workout this morning. I do push-ups and chaturangas often but I guess nothing compares to doing push-ups for a full 30 seconds or however long Jillian had me doing them this morning – trust me it was 2 tough sets of them.  The sides of my torso just under my armpits are sore – that to me is the test of a good workout. I was doing something that my body was not used to and hopefully will start to build some strength in that area. Seriously, if you are looking for a workout that doesn’t take ages to do – go get this DVD, I am confident you will get results if you stick with it.

So nothing exciting happened around here today.  D and I played a little Star Wars Lego video game, ran to the bank, the post office and the library. Then we found ourselves a Target – a week does not go by without a trip to that place.  I bought a new board game for us to play while we were there. It is Curios George Discovery Beach game and it really is lots of fun – we played it 3 times when we got home.  I would have played it more but mommy had to make dinner. I know what we will be doing tomorrow – D really likes his new game.

Ok, on to the eats of the day. Nothing fancy, just my usual stuff.

This morning I needed a little snack so I had a cup of tea and a Z Bar.

Lunch was a toasted whole wheat English muffin topped with hummus, Swiss cheese, red pepper and zucchini.  I added a little more veg on the side for good measure.

I also had a bowl of my beloved Cinnamon Puffins which were combined with 1/4 cup cottage cheese and PB.

I had a square of dark chocolate for my sweet tooth – gotta keep her quiet.

After our afternoon excursion around town it was time to feed my belly. I opted for a simple bowl of Greek yogurt (1/2 a cup) and a drizzle of agave – that stuff is the elixir of joy (well it is a close tie with honey). I also had a Goji Bar – so amazing I can’t even get over it.

For dinner I cooked up some chicken and tossed some onto a salad. Also on my plate was of course lettuce, red pepper and zucchini (my 3 staple veggies).  I added a few globs of hummus, a piece of cheese and a pita.  Yeah, I pretty much eat the same things for lunch and dinner but with a few minor tweaks. Hey it is what agrees with my tummy.  I have a hard time with certain veggies like corn, peas, carrots, onions and beans (not green beans, the fiberific type). So I really will only eat those said veggies on occasion because the feeling I get in my stomach is not a happy one at all.  Oh how I love thee IBS – yes it stinks.

For dessert I had a Vita-Top with some healthy frosting – vanilla yogurt and sunflower seed butter.  MMMMMMMMMM!!! That is really all I need to say.

I did the whole singing routine for my little sleepy boy tonight so lets hope he nods off into lala land peacefully.  So far so good.  I am pretty tired but I am also in need of a little snack – I had a feeling that my PM eats wouldn’t last me till tomorrow.  I think a piece of fruit is in order – I can not go to bed with a growling tummy.  I hope you all had a great start to your week.  Enjoy the evening.

That shred is no joke! I have it and I am sore every time I use it.
